This projest registers a replication of the psychometric and predictive analyses reported for the Czech version of the Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS) in an independent sample. The replication has two components, both conducted on the independent sample: (A) a structural and validity replication (confirmatory factor analysis, internal consistency, convergent and discriminant correlations) and (B) a predictive comparison of the equally weighted sum score versus the six item-level predictors for depression, anxiety, and loneliness, restricted a priori to linear regression and elastic net and framed as a directional test. The aim is to assess whether the previously reported structural, validity, and predictive findings are reproducible in an independent Czech sample.
